Security theater. As long as the TV stations get some footage during a stand-up segment every one is safer, don’t you know?

Judging from the BBC reporting, the airport bombers were by the ticket counters, and not even near the security checkpoints. The metro bomb was detonated from inside one carriage, just as the train was leaving the station.

The attacks took advantage of low security areas. No doubt, someone is going to suggest security checks at US airport entrances and exits. I can see it coming.
