Here’s the thing, I’m not overly impressed with Dubya and the “serious conservative” brigade’s efforts to put as much distance between the monster they created and themselves. It puts me in the mind of Republican Congresscritters who magically regain their balls the moment they either decide to retire or are voted out of office. What I see right now are people who are afraid of the political fallout Trump is going to have on their party and are trying to erect a barrier by dubbing him an aberration rather than the logical conclusion of decades of efforts to play to the lowest common denominator.
