I do hope people realize that Trumps trade idiocy vindicates Obama big time on the TPP. Both Sanders and Trump demagogued on that issue bigly.

The TPP had some awful provisions in it (e.g., US copyright insanity, companies able to sue for lost profits due to ‘regulations’ come to mind, and I’m sure there were others), but it would have been a useful counter to Chinese influence. Perhaps it was a net positive, perhaps not.

But it had no defenders in the end. Rightly so, IMO. These trade deals are a symbol of globalist business as usual, which is in the process of taking almost everyone’s job away just to make the Davos class richer.
