It doesn’t. It’s designed to make the clients feel like victims while lining the lawyer’s pockets.

If that’s the case, this should be a matter for the state bar association to consider. Yes, I know, even if the state association has the stones to try to intervene, it will be a useless endeavor, with the defense lawyers claiming their rights are being violated, that the state association is affiliated with “Them”, etc.

Would the judge be remiss in privately counseling the defense lawyers to reconsider their tactics and public statements? Or would that be further evidence of “bias” and the judge being a dupe of “Them”?
