D’Souza doesn’t really talk in code, though. He’s pretty clear in what he means by “Kenyan Anti-Colonialist” and it is a very hostile definition.

At times I wonder if the anti-Indian sentiments that sometimes surfaced in African anti-colonialism play a role in D’Souza’s depiction, causing him to see what isn’t there (Kenya, unlike Uganda, did not expel its Indian population after independence).
