Try watching a lets play of it sometime, I would be interested in hearing your thoguhts on the messages present in the game though I find it sort of toothless when it comes to its political commentary though since it features a bunch of racist secessionists who are lead by a northern Neo-confederate (who would have been all of 11 when the civil war ended) in a society that is strangely progressive on sexist issues…it mixes and matches too many different things to come across as an effective parody/warning of what America could be.

Well, in fairness it is set in 1912, when many of those issues existed in a different form than they do now. At that time, the Civil War was still very much within living memory.

I wonder if the date is also a swipe at Walt Disney, who set a good number of movies in the years immediately preceding World War I.
