I mentioned the theory from BJ on Monday night that the disclosure to the press about Trump’s giving away state secrets being about disarming any attempt by Putin to use recordings of the meeting to blackmail the administration. Considering Putin is now willing to release the transcript, which is almost certainly going to have omissions and potentially blatant fabrications, that theory seems to have gained some credibility.
