She’s been consistent on this. She was the Senator who talked about male colleagues having had harassed her. Honestly I didn’t see Franken as presidential material. He was a good senator but I don’t know if he was presidential material. I think we needed to go younger.

I wasn’t concerned with Franken’s age. But reading ‘The Giant Of The Senate’, he talked about how things from his time in comedy that were really pretty innocent came back to haunt him in the MN Senate campaign - like a brief mention of moments from a writers meeting for SNL, where people are throwing out crazy ideas trying to see what works*, so inappropriate things get suggested, things that would never see the light of day.

*I think people who watch comedy, whether scripted, or standup, seldom realize how much dreck gets tried out and then eliminated in getting to a final product.
