WFAA here in Dallas had a morning poll asking if awards shows were becoming more political. Viewers obviously said yes.

But, performers live in America as well. There’s always been a political component to all entertainment. And, in this climate, the awards shows are one of the few venues where liberals are allowed to voice their opinions.

I’d further add that I think music is one of the most political of the arts and has been for a long time.
