There were plenty of people who hated Obama, and now plenty of people who hate Trump. It does seem the office is more destined to division rather than unity.

Obama was elected with a majority of the popular vote, but that is not a given with our Electoral College.

Remember that Lincoln had a plurality, but lss than 40% of the vote overall.

And do not forget that Trump would have won the popular vote if not for all those millions of illegal Hillary supporters…
