Getting seen quickly by an ER doc in the wee hours of the morning is a double-edged distinction. If they do hop to it, something is seriously wrong.

I was seen very quickly a few months ago, but a resting heart rate of over 220 bpm will do that.

Yeah, me too. My blood pressure was at the “You’re Going To Have A Stroke in X Minutes” level. I kept telling them it was because I was there and in pain not because my BP was actually that high.

I had to sit in the ER for four hours while they repeatedly took my BP (the one single thing I hate and fear more than anything…take my blood, give me shots, but please don’t take my BP… it always makes my fingerstips feel like they are going to shoot off of my fingers.) It took that long for my BP to normalize.

Just the thought of having my BP taken raises my BP significantly.
