I cleaned my coffee pot and now my coffee is terrible. I wish I didn’t buy three cases of cheap coffee. Blech.

What material is it? If it’s aluminium, boil water in once or twice it so it darkens to regenerate the oxide layer, or your coffee will taste like a chemical factory. This is also a good rule to follow with any Aluminium kitchen implement.

oh dear. I rinse mine out and even scrape it with a brush but never clean it.

Same here for my Moka Express, rinse and brush, only proper cleaned it when it entered into service in my home.
