To give them SOME credit, Trump has no idea he’s lying. Instead he’s so ridiculously delusional that he believes whatever he says is automatically the truth. I mean, I’m literally a pathological liar, but I don’t believe my lies when I tell them—he does.

if he has no idea he’s lying, if he can’t tell truth/reality from fiction, then the way he’s being propped up by his cabinet (25th amendment), the press/media, and every Republican is even worse. then the president is insane and the office of the president is currently unoccupied by a functioning person.

no. he knows he’s lying. it’s often pointed out to him after that what he just said was ‘wrong’, incorrect, inaccurate, etc. and then he goes and does it again. it’s certainly pathological. and it’s intentional.
