Virginia made that transition from Confederate-loving right wing dominated to a moderate modern-Democratic state because of all the suburban development in northern VA. All those contractors living off of the DoD. Their business may be in death and destruction, but they are on the whole well educated and pretty moderate in social views.

I know that. I’m just saying that ancestral party affiliation means nothing and a lot of these new Georgia and Texas suburbites are socially moderate too.
