In even the best case scenario at this point, he’s likely going to be walking down the courthouse steps on the last day of this trial. My money is still on his getting pinched for the misdemeanor charges, for which he’ll remain free until sentencing where the same judge will give him a wrist-slap fine (if that). The major charges either end with acquittal or the state choosing not to refile after a mistrial is declared over a hung jury.

In the highly unlikely event there is a hung jury, my belief is the state will refile with a different prosecutor and a different judge. My guess is that it will be an outright acquittal or the judge dismissing charges with prejudice.
