No, he is already profiling himself for 2016, so that when Romney loses, he can make his claim that the GOP did not nominate a sufficiently conservative candidate.

Romney will come out of this with “loser” tattooed all over his forehead, Santorum will come away with the reputation of a fighter and an underdog.
