Here’s a journalist fighting the premature sexualization of children, meanwhile this reality TV show is a big big hit in Red state america.

I find these child beauty pageants offensive not because of any sexualization, but because the parents are treating their kids as possessions and objects to be manipulated in order to bring the parents fame or to address some perceived failing in their own lives.

BTW, if you view a 4 year old girl as a sex object because of the way she is dressed, then you’re the problem.
