Oy vey. One little factoid that is rather damaging to this stupid point of view is that it is not unknown for anorexia to develop in cases where a rational and overweight person starts a diet to lose weight, and develops a full blown eating disorder along the way.

So, these issues are not amenable to simple minded reductionism.

Also, how could anyone believe there is a shortage of fat shaming?
