Hi y’all - well, mom’s ok, we just finished being interviewed by the cops (I was, as it happens, the first person on the scene other than the widow) and they said what most of y’all’s been saying: try to save the life; in reality he WAS still alive when I got there, but expired shortly after the EMS workers showed up and started trying to save his life.

But this is the first time I’ve seen anyone die peacefully and it was……………strange.
Cops were very nice, funeral parlor is already here and our neighbor and her family have gone off somewhere.
