re: #55 KGxvi
Graham is 63, and while heās up again in 2020, last time he won 54-38 in the general (and wasnāt really challenged in the primary). He could have this gig for another 30 years, if he really wanted to. Why go be Secretary of Defense for Trump of all presidents?
Oh I donāt know about that. Have you seen the about-face Graham has made shortly after Mccain died? I mean, might be that that was the one factor holding up his (pretense of a) spine, but TBH given the enthousiasm with which heās turned trumpist frankly Iām going with the theory thereās both a live boy and a dead girl and something probably much worse someoneās got over him, and since that wouldnāt be going away any more ever again Iām fairly sure heās going to fade away in a few years and hope he can live out his years in quiet.
Maybe Iām wrong, but I really donāt think Graham will be around in 10 years time.
OTOH taking secdef wouldnāt exactly be the most risk-averse move either so he might well stay put under my theory just the same.
