re: #67 dangerman

even if he was down there (he wasn’t):
THERE IS NOT ONE OTHER ‘CIVILIAN’ ON THIS PLANET WHO WAS DOWN THERE WHO WOULD EVEN CONSIDER CALLING THEMSELVES A “FIRST RESPONDER”

There were countless construction workers who worked on the pile alongside the FDNY, NYPD, EMT, PAPD, and other agencies. They weren’t first responders, but they suffered for their effort. Trump never got past the checkpoints. He wasn’t invited. He was never down there. No one could remember him ever being down there. He had nothing to offer.

Everyone knows that he wasn’t a construction guy. He was a con artist who’d make noise about stuff, but couldn’t bring construction crews to bear, the gear, or the logistics to do any of what was necessary.

You had Skansa. You had Silverstein Properties (which had just signed the lease on the WTC complex). And that’s just what I can remember. There was Bay Crane. I remember crossing into Brooklyn over the Manhattan Bridge with a friend, and Bay Crane had a bunch of medium sized cranes queued up to go into Manhattan to help with the efforts.

Trump was nowhere to be found, because he had nothing to offer. He was, is, and always will be, about self promotion.
