re: #74 Barefoot Grin
He still is. Warm Springs is now part of the state of Georgia’s Vocational Rehabilitation Agency, GVRA. My son went to another facility (Cave Springs, near Rome,GA) to learn to live independently and how to get and keep a job, drive, etc. The agency helps adults with all kinds of disabilities. His experience was good until a round of government shutdowns messed up funding and changed the program from adults from age 18 to 25 to all ages. The shift of the program become more of a residential evaluation place than actual vocational rehab. He met his best friend there though, who is a really great young man that struggles with autism, epilepsy and depression/anxiety. Before the pandemic he was a regular fixture around here.
That McConnell would then go on and try to undo FDRs legacy, among others is just another reason to loathe him.
