the airline industry is a good example of spending *lots* of time and oodles of money on things they hope will never happen. and still are exquisite prepared when they do.

Even the unforseen/unplanned ones. ie Sully et al.

Because they, unlike some other industries, realize what would happen if they put someone in a situation they’re completely unprepared for: PEOPLE DIE. And then no one would ever want to fly on a plane ever again.
