I’m with you there, brother. If i need something brief, i’ll text. If i need to be nuanced, i’ll email. But despite my exceedingly high opinion of my wit, intelligence, and all-around fabulousness…i don’t think that half-hour updates of my mundane activities do anything but kill brain cells that are better wasted through careful application of good gin.

The world does not need or want to know what I had for lunch, the consistency of my feces, how great the sex I had last night was, or what I fought with my wife about.

I don’t want to hear it from other people, and people won’t hear it from me. I find it all extremely bizarre and disturbing. There is a generation coming up with not only no sense of personal propriety, but no respect for the privacy of others.

What ever happened to “NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS”. I mean this in reference to personal matter, politics, everything.

What policy X senator proposes is my business. Who that senator is alleged to have slept with is NOT, I don’t care of it was an affair, or not. IT’S NONE OF MY BUSINESS.

This issue bothers me a great deal.
