Oh! Maybe Pollack is pissed that Bell doesn’t give what he feels sufficient credit to whites who worked for civil rights, and he’s pissed off at that.

The appropriate response would be an academic refutation of Bell, not calling him a radical and lying about his views.

He might have the foundation to understand it. Although I wouldn’t call him an expert. He’s obviously attuned to transculturalism and other liberal studies. Unlike him, I wouldn’t call this radical. Perhaps deep down inside he finds critical race theory appealing as you seem to hint. Sometimes activists hate the things they once were or still hold onto in private. Such as the closeted gay, anti-gay activist. Or Dave Horowitz who did a complete 180 degrees. You would think then that someone like Pollak would be more empathetic. Which is why I asked earlier, where were you in 1991?
