I have a problem with just picking on “for profit” colleges, though.

In no way are other schools not “for profit”. Have you seen what the administrators get paid at universities? Not to mention the sporting senior employees (such as coaches.)

The entire higher education scheme is “for profit”. Almost no school uses volunteer help.

The reason high education costs so much is because we create a demand for it, by insisting everyone must have a college degree.
