Long ago, I had a garmin gps and we were trying to get to one of the national parks in AZ. It took us off the interstate, down some main roads, and then on to a dirt road. We weren’t in a car that could do that (it was a rental), so we backed out and returned to the interstate and followed the brown signs to the park.

Then we saw where that dirt road came out - right at the park entrance. With the right vehicle, it might have been ok, but wasn’t going to chance it.

When we were on the I-80 the other day coming up to Cleveland I punched in the address of the restaurant we wanted to go & SYNC took us off the highway to some secondary Ohio state road, took us about an hour out of the way until we got on the 271. As soon as we parked I checked the nav settings and realized that I never unchecked the box that said “Avoid Toll Roads”
