Wow, Beverly Byer, now there’s a name from the past. I understand that she passed away back in 2018.

While I don’t remember any particular bunglings of hers, I also don’t remember the Pgh local news as highly demanding of high competence either.

I go back all the way to Carl Ide as the news anchor on WDTV. Then when WDTV became KDKA Bill Burns pushed Ide out of the news anchor spot.
