In this polarized age the vote is pretty inelastic. Most Republicans will rally around their nominee so I expect Trump’s vote to be in the mid forties with a ceiling of about 48% if he can behave himself during the general election campaign to reassure more mainstream GOP voters.

That’s what kills me, though. They’ll rally around him regardless of the shit that falls out of his mouth. In fact, if he were actually to start acting like an adult, he could possibly do better. Because the MSM and our precious “independents” would be all “Wow, look, he doesn’t talk like a thirteen year old anymore! Let’s make this guy President!”
