Greets and saluts from the Resistance in the NYC metro area. Taking a step back from the politics for the moment, I just wanted to share that I got the opportunity to recently see Hello Dolly on Broadway with Bernadette Peters and Victor Garber in the leads, and it’s frankly one of the best shows I’ve seen in a long long time.

Everything about the show works. There was no second act letdown (many shows pack the best songs/routines in the first act, and the second act is almost an afterthought). The ensemble had awesome voices and the dancing/choreography was great. The sets were amazing and conveyed every aspect of the story very well.

Peters has an undeniable stage presence, and Garber shone as he returned to his stage roots (many recognize him for his role in Legends of Tomorrow or Alias, but he cut his chops on the stage in shows like Assassins and Sweeney Todd, etc.

The supporting roles were also very well cast and everyone looked like they had fun doing the show.

All in all, it was a totally enjoyable show; and they also just announced that Bette Midler is returning to the show until it ends at the end of the summer.
