Why didn’t the founders explicitly write you can’t pardon yourself?

I’ve said it before: one of the main weaknesses of our system is the assumption of good faith on all sides. The GOP as it is now has found out that constant acting in bad faith denigrates the entire system, and with enough projection, you can not only totally inoculate yourself from the consequences of that, but totally and utterly shift it toward your opponents, especially when they actually act in good faith.
