I said that exact thing to my grand-nephew, who had opined that his generation didn’t wear wrist watches because ‘I have this thing in my pocket that tells me the time’.

I think I simply pulled out the pocket watch I was carrying at that point. I also mentioned that people STARTED wearing wrist watches 100 years ago, so they didn’t have to bother pulling anything out of their pockets to find out what time it was.

yeah but you can only put one photograph (what’s that) in the cover of the pocket watch.
i can carry hundreds of pictures of mrs dm (and i never look at any of them)
