For 3 years, he’s told us pretty much every day that the rest of the world is taking advantage of us. That we give and give and we’re not going to do that anymore because they’re not paying their share.

Now he wants them to help us?

It makes sense because it’s not about actually helping.

Narcissists make unreasonable demands to test who’s compliant, specifically making it harder and harder to say “yes” because there’s no end point to their need for deference.

Trashing countries and them asking stuff of them is entirely in keeping with this pattern.
