Let’s see. AIG gives $165 million to executives as per their contracts.

That’s bad.

It’s bad PR, and demagoguery on the part of Congress and the Administration, including the lout Barney Frank who has the temerity to claim that there are incompetents still having jobs (ever look in a mirror Rep. Frank?), is just detestable.

Of course, out of the billions given to AIG, $25 billion went to foreign banks to prop up the credit lines. That’s what the TARP bailout was supposed to do, but that money is now outside the US.

Funny how the media would rather focus on the $165 million.

This is really just a distraction and a way to blame business and the free market, paving the way to more socialism. Much more of our money is going to bail out people who took more mortgages than they could afford and many others who were irresponsible. But to distract us from that, we get this big show on the bad capitalists taking our money. And sadly, most people will fall for it.
