It was rude, juvenile, and beneath his dignity as a member of Congress. If he’d apologized and gone away and shut up for a bit, it would pass. But no, it’s his moment to shine, as he thinks.

He did apologize, and Obama accepted (after letting Rahm take the initial call), so why the hell is he going on TV to discuss it further?
