I think it is important to remember that Romney almost did win. Maybe if it weren’t for the 47% remark and some other things, he’d be #43.

His dissembling was off-putting to a lot of voters, but it seems that many people either believed his lies, were totally ignorant of facts and felt Obama should pay for high unemployment, or rationalized that his lying was an understandable truth-stretching that was justified by the need for victory.
