If you think about it, it’s not that absurd. You’re talking about a city with a limited population, which means everybody pulling their weight. But the misogyny is still there, such as if you listen to the recording from the little girl to Rosalind Luetece, where the girl states that her mother feels that the sciences are no place for a lady.

Except the “everybody pulling their weight” thing is not born out by what we see in the larger context of the game.

If there was so much work to be done that women had to get involved doing it like in WW2 then you would not see people in Finkton having to attack each other over the chance for having ANY kind of job to do.

The misogyny is present somewhat, but nowhere to the degree that you would expect it to be I mean the “scientist is not a proper job for a lady” is something I could still expect to hear in some places today, not in a theocratic version of America in 1912!
