I hate to be a wet blanket, but just maybe all the superbloom grass and brush that went dry in Los Angeles lately means we should skip the fireworks in the hillside areas? Looking at you Pasadena and Burbank.

My friends and I were always sensible angelanos — we’d buy boxes of sparklers and do them at the beach, before and after the Official display set off from the pier.
