Yes, we’ve always been this flawed and worse. People are intrinsically flawed creatures. We can but try to improve.
And I can’t think of any particular reason to be proud of one’s race either. I understand the need to claim pride if you’ve been told your race is inferior, but in a better world, I’d like to think it will be irrelevant.
In a better world, we’d just be people. No black, no white. Just people. I mean we’d see our differences in skin color sure but it’d be no different than hair color or eye color.
