IIRC, in 1955, age 65 - about a year or so before his second (re-) election.
And at the time, I think his health issues were a big deal (Ike was the oldest sitting President (?) ) . Not that it hurt his re-election chances, though.

It definitely made his VP choice a concern. Eventually Nixon did stay as VP but he nearly got moved to Defense Secretary. Ike and Nixon weren’t close.
