Santorum certainly thinks that he’s going to be a frontrunner come 2016, but he’s doing himself and everyone a great favor by showing just how radical he and the rest of the GOP have become. Moderates should fear what Santorum’s selling - they aren’t leaving the GOP - the party has left them in favor of the SoCon religious right agenda that seeks to impose their religious views on everyone else (and that extends to everything from being anti-science and creationist to womens’ rights, contraception, abortion, etc.)
