It’s one of the few concessions the GOP fuckwits made to the Dems. They had to strike some form of balance in their gerrymandering.

Well I imagine by doing that, they made two of their own incumbents stronger. They kind of did something like that here. Gerry Connolly’s seat is pretty much safe here but I’d be shocked if any of the seats that had been Democratic prior to the Tea Invasion will return. Perhaps Ringell in the Tides which is ironic given that Ringell just may be one of the relatively sane members that were elected that year.
