Well, the infinitesimal amount of respect I had for Harry Reid just blew away in the wind.

Reid filed cloture on the omnibus and “filled the tree,” a procedural maneuver that bars everyone from offering amendments. In other words, Warren and Vitter’s amendment has no chance of being added to the spending bill.

I can’t hate Harry Reid. He helped push through a national monument (Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument) that is right near my home.
