Goes to the fact that hacking/phishing is a “white collar” crime, and it tougher to investigate, prosecute, etc., as compared to the garden variety burglary, which is a physical crime. And the media has done its best to make hacking/phishing out to be something less serious than a national security threat when it is directed at a political party/candidates with the intent to manipulate the election outcome with leaks of selective materials, materials stripped of context or otherwise manipulated, and otherwise lying about the contents of said materials.
Also considered to be “kid stuff” or done by 400 lb guys in bed at their mothers house.
