My dad gave my son a model of his 356C when the little guy was about 8 months old. Predictably, he did a good number on the model within a few months. But he loves classic Porsches now, so the model sacrificed itself for a good cause, methinks.

My brother moved to Hamburg in the late ’80s. He gave my dad a model as a Christmas gag when he came back to visit a couple of years later. We joked that it probably leaked oil less and performed better than another brother’s MG Midget. (oops, I was talking about Trabant, not Porsche!)
