The district attorney claimed they were under surveillance at home. If that is true, how did they manage to dodge it? If that is true, it seems like one or more cops let them go. (It’s irresponsible not to speculate.)

And the idea people had they might commit suicide? If they were going to do that, why not just do it at home rather than leading a bunch of cops and federal marshals on a chase through southeast Michigan?

Starting with the bone headed purchase on Black Friday, the Crumbleys made a series of massively stupid decisions that devastated a community and ensured their son will spend decades in prison, and may land them in prison for the rest of their lives as well, something inconceivable to them last week in their cushy, privileged lives. I wonder if they have any other kids, because if so, they are now effectively orphaned. All due to a poisonous white supremacist ideology mainstreamed by the NRA that whites have to prepare for an inevitable race war.
