This is not “success” by any metric

If they’d pounded the city to rubble in a day and then planted a flag, it would have been a success if a very costly and messy one.

In a week? A success, but now there would be some snickering about how it took them so long.

A month? A success only in the sense that they’d finally managed to pound the defenders into retreat/surrender.

But 3 months? This is the saddest fucking “success” in Russian history.
