Come on now - there are all sorts of civilian uses for nuclear triggers. I can think of three off the top of my head -

1) a really effective car alarm. Someone bumps your car and it sets off a perfectly spherical shaped charge. They will never bump your car again.

2) door bell for an extremely large house. Someone presses it and it sets off a perfectly spherical shaped charge, telling the occupants that someone is at the door.

3) initiator for a mass hanging of convicted homosexuals. Alert all of the executioners in a three mile radius to commence hanging convicted homosexuals. Works both in Iran and at CPAC conferences.
