This wasn’t simply a matter of firing Derbyshire. PZ Myers also didn’t make an effort to criticize what he had written at Taki’s and other places. He seems to be disturbed by the fact that they had fired him and I find that rather intriguing.

He didn’t criticize it because he considers the wrongness obvious. PZ is as far from a racist as is possible. I doubt the firing disturbed him in any way, he sounds more curious why the change from support to the firing now, when they could have fired him, and others before.
