I don’t really hate Tebow but I do hate being told I have to like him because he’s a Christian and a good guy. If Tebow had the same character but was a Dawkins style Atheist, would he get all the love he did? I think not. That’s not a slight on Tebow so much as it is on people who think good and Christian are inherently connected. There are indeed good Christians but there are also good Atheists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, etc and bad of each too. Plus I have to admit I have a huge problem with Tebow’s father speaking so ignorantly of the Philippines as he did in the SI article I read when TT was still at UF claiming that most of the people of that nation don’t know Jesus Christ. I took that as a very anti Catholic statement considering that most of that nation is Catholic.
